Welcome to Amy’s Tales! We are so glad you are here. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at amystales.co.za (the “Website”) and your purchase of products from us.
By accessing our Website and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.
1. General
This Website is owned and operated by Sandra Hauptfleisch trading as Amy’s Tales, a business located in Western Cape, South Africa. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Amy’s Tales.
2. Products and Sales
Our Print-on-Demand Model: Please note that each item is custom printed especially for you at the time you place an order. This allows us to offer a wide range of stories and merchandise without unnecessary waste.
Product Information: We take great care to ensure that the descriptions and images of our storybooks are accurate. However, slight variations in colour may occur due to screen displays.
Availability: All products are subject to the availability of materials from our printing partners. In the rare event of an issue, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Pricing: All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT) where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice.
3. Payment
We accept payments via the following methods: EFT, Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard). All online payments are processed through our secure third-party payment gateway, Yoco. We do not store your credit card details. Payment must be received in full before any order is sent for production.
4. Production, Shipping, and Delivery
Please note: Your total delivery time is the sum of our production time and the courier’s shipping time.
Production Time: Because each book is printed just for you, please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be printed, bound, and prepared for dispatch. This production period is separate from the shipping time.
Shipping Methods: We ship nationwide across South Africa using a reliable courier service, Pudo by The Courier Guy with locker-to-locker or locker-to-door options. Your order may be shipped directly from our printing partner.

Total Estimated Delivery Times:
Major Centres: Please allow a total of 7-12 business days (production + shipping) for your order to arrive.
Outlying Areas: Please allow a total of 9-14 business days (production + shipping) for your order to arrive.
These are estimated times. We are not liable for any delays caused by the printing facility or the courier service.
Order Tracking: Once your order has been dispatched from the printer, you will receive an email with an order update and waybill number. Track your parcel online with your waybill number. You’ll also get WhatsApp notifications at every key stage of your parcel’s journey. The courier will keep you in the loop every step of the way – no stress, no drama!
Incorrect Address: It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Amy’s Tales cannot be held responsible for orders that go missing due to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.
5. Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Due to the custom, print-on-demand nature of our products, our return and cancellation policy is specific. Please read it carefully.
Order Cancellations: You may request to cancel your order within 6 hours of placing it. After this period, your order will be sent to our printing partner for production and can no longer be cancelled. Please email info@amystales.co.za immediately if you wish to cancel.
Returns for Damaged or Defective Items: We stand by the quality of our products. If your order arrives with a clear print defect, is damaged in transit, or is not the item you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@amystales.co.za.
You must provide your order number and clear photos of the damage or defect.
Upon verification, we will arrange for a reprint of your order and ship it to you at our own cost. We do not require you to return the damaged item.
A refund for a defective item may be offered at our discretion.
Returns for Other Reasons (“Change of Mind”): Because every item is printed specifically for you, we do not accept returns or offer exchanges for “change of mind” reasons. This includes ordering the wrong item, deciding you no longer want the item, or other personal reasons. The “cooling-off” period stipulated in the ECT Act does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications, which includes our print-on-demand products. We strongly encourage you to review your order carefully before purchasing.
Non-Returnable Items: Our free downloadable digital activity worksheets are non-returnable and non-refundable.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, and the characters and stories of “Amy’s Tales”, is the exclusive property of Sandra Hauptfleisch and is protected by South African and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content without our express written permission.
7. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please review our full Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Website and its content are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amy’s Tales shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this Website or from products purchased from the site.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
